VIYM invests in GNC vitamins and supplements retail chain’s Russia expansion

The investment firm VIYM, which specialises in growth capital and real estate investment across the CIS and Europe, announces that it has acquired a minority stake in Rusvit, one of Russia’s largest distributors of high-quality vitamins and minerals, sports nutrition and other dietary supplements. Rusvit is also the exclusive holder of a franchise of the US firm GNC Holdings in Russia, under which brand it is actively developing its own retail chain. The stake and investment amount are not disclosed.

Agro-Alliance photo series wins a prize at "Best of Russia-2016" photo project

VIYM is happy to announce that Agro-Alliance photo series won a prize at “Best of Russia-2016” photo contest in “Architecture” nomination. Photos from the series were taken by a professional Russian photographer Mikhail Rozanov at the company’s facilities in Krasnodar region.

The photoshoot dedicated to VIYM portfolio companies took place to celebrate the company's 10th birthday in April 2016. “Every Mikhail's photograph is an attempt to present our projects as living organisms with their own mood and personality. Agro-Alliance photo series’ participation in “Best of Russia” project is a proof of Mikhail’s success,” noted Dmitry Schuetzle, Managing Director of VIYM.

«Nikolskie Ryady» to preserve its historic colour

The restoration works of a historic Nikolskie Ryady building, situated in the heart of St. Petersburg, is in full swing. The completion of works is planned for Summer 2018 when a new multifunctional hotel complex including a three-star Holiday Inn Express hotel and a hostel operated by Meininger Hotels will be opened.

By now, a whole number of works has already been completed: the design concept of the hotel complex has been developed together with the hotel operators; architectural firm “Liteynaya Chast 91” presented the design for public spaces and the courtyard; restoration work of building’s facades has started and is well under way.

As mentioned before, the project and the new concept focus on retaining original historical features of the construction. Thus, one of the key decisions was to preserve the historic colour of the Nikolskiy Market building.
